About Abby Black

Abby is a qualified and prepared candidate ready for the responsibility. She has been a resident of Wake Forest all her life. She wants to see her neighbors and Town continue to flourish and prosper. She has read the current/draft UDOs and Town Charter in their entirety. She is familiar with Town department roles and requests, and monitors State and Federal activity for new and changing laws that effect municipalities.

As Commissioner, Abby will labor for all current and future generations to find Wake Forest a welcoming place to live, grow, and achieve great things. She will stand for and defend her neighbors’ Constitutional Rights, Abby will advocate for those who cannot advocate for themselves, and she will compassionately weigh the voices and concerns of the residents of Wake Forest. Abby will pursue affordability, transparency, traffic relief, responsible fiscal and budget management, public safety, and foster a culture of trust. As a Commissioner, Abby will join in the efforts of the Town in promoting the general welfare of Wake Forest, its visitors, and surrounding communities. Wake Forest deeply matters to Abby.
